This policy applies to Ponas Augintinis platform users (service providers) who choose to integrate their account with Google Calendar. This document explains what data we access, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. What data do we access? When you choose to connect your Ponas Augintinis account with Google Calendar and grant permission (via a secure OAuth login), we request access to your calendar events. The platform reads your personal events (to block busy time) and writes new events (bookings). We do not have access to your Google account password or data from any other Google services (such as Gmail or Google Drive).
2. How do we use your data? Your Google Calendar data is used exclusively for automatic, two-way booking and availability synchronization:
Sending information to Google Calendar: When a client creates a booking or you create a time block (like a day off) on the platform, these events automatically appear on your Google Calendar. If a booking time changes, the calendar event updates automatically. If a booking is cancelled, the event remains visible but is marked as cancelled. If a booking is deleted entirely on the platform, it disappears from your Google Calendar.
Reading availability from Google Calendar: If you create a personal event in your Google Calendar (e.g., a lunch break or a doctor's appointment), the Ponas Augintinis system automatically blocks that time on the platform so clients cannot book services during that period.
Data update mechanism: To prevent double-booking, the system receives instant notifications from Google when something changes on the calendar. As an additional safety net, the system also checks for updates every 15 minutes.
Data integrity rule: Booking times and details can only be changed through the Ponas Augintinis platform. If you attempt to edit a client booking directly within Google Calendar, the system will ignore the change and revert it back to match the platform. This ensures all business rules (pricing, availability, notifications) are strictly respected.
3. Data sharing with third parties Your privacy is our priority. Ponas Augintinis never sells, rents, or transfers your Google Calendar data to any third parties or advertising networks. Data is only exchanged between your Ponas Augintinis account and your connected Google Calendar. We do not use your Google data for marketing or user profiling.
4. Data retention and revoking access Google Calendar integration data is stored only as long as you use our services and the integration remains active. You have full control and can revoke Ponas Augintinis's access to your calendar at any time in two ways:
By disconnecting the calendar within your Ponas Augintinis platform settings.
By removing access directly through your Google Account security settings ("Third-party apps with account access").
Upon revoking access, the platform will immediately stop reading from or writing any data to your Google Calendar.
5. Google Limited Use compliance Ponas Augintinis's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
